My Story
Pauletta Greene Malone
Hi, my name is Pauletta and as a child and teenager, I struggled with my weight for years. Among other issues, I now know that my self-confidence was directly impacted by my personal challenge to achieve normal weight. I grew up in the deep south where a “good meal” was only praised if it was battered, fried, buttered and garnished with more salt and sugar than the law allowed!
Seriously, in my family circle, we really didn’t understand or knew how to promote healthy and nutritional eating. When I was twelve years old, I was heavy and felt embarrassed because of my size. I often felt that my peers and even my teachers looked at me differently because I was overweight. Many times, I just wanted to be invisible!
However, that all changed. As a young adult, wife, and mother, I was driven and determined to help me and my family overcome generations of bad eating habits and with the help of God, I purposed myself to change our eating habits and behavior for the better.
Thus, the birth of Pauletta’s Gourmet and Nutritional Eats (PGANE) was born in my spirit and I thank God! Over several years I began testing hundreds, if not thousands of recipes to select foods that not only tasted delicious, but foods that really were healthy for our bodies while rejuvenating our energy with scientific proven nutritional ingredients.
